EFT, often called “tapping”, draws on the energy meridians first mapped in ancient Chinese practice. It combines two things: gentle tapping on points on the face and body, and talking about the issue at hand.
Proposed by Gary Craig in 1993, EFT is used as a counselling intervention to ease stress, tension, anxiety and negativity, releasing the blocks held by difficult emotions.
