“My experience & passion for healing & growth are the unique gifts I offer to my clients and
students.”
Taanya has always enjoyed working with people and has excellent interpersonal skills. Her passion for
helping people and a deep longing to study the mind, body & spirit connection led her to study
Counselling professionally. She was able to now return to her heart’s desire and work towards making a
difference in people’s lives. She had a burning desire to get out there and help the underdog. She began
searching for the deeper truths of life and started meditating at an early age of sixteen. She is an
avid reader and particularly likes biographies & self-empowerment books.
Stepping into her Spiritual Purpose
At the age of 30, after much reflection, Taanya resigned from her secure and well paid job with Telstra.
She turned towards manifesting her spiritual purpose in this lifetime and found Holistic Living
Counselling. It was time. After successfully completing her Diploma in Counselling, Taanya continued her
growth by training in Reiki 1, 2 & 3, Advanced Pranic Healing, Meditation Teaching, Colour Therapy,
Anger & stress management, Inner Child healing etc. She feels that it’s an ongoing journey and there
is lots to learn. After successfully completing Reiki 1, 2 and 3 and finally growing to be a Reiki
Master and teacher, she has also added to her professional expertise by achieving an MA degree in
counselling psychology in 1st Division. She is also involved in voluntary work for the AIWC (All India
Women’s Conference) that aims at supporting and empowering the destitute women of India.
Taanya Nagi is regularly invited by NGOs, community organisations, schools & colleges to conduct
talks, interactive workshops and awareness programmes on emotional wellbeing, mental health,
relationships, personal growth and holistic healing.
Taanya has been counselling and teaching meditations and running workshops for over 22 years now. She is
currently living in India but frequently visits Australia & Dubai for ongoing training and running
workshops.
Combining Science & Spirituality
Taanya combines modern day Psychology with ancient wisdom of scriptures and various healing modalities.
Taanya has been a devotee of Sri Paramahansa Yogananda since her childhood and humbly shares her
knowledge gained over the years by teaching her clients & students the scientific-yogic breathing
techniques, health & healing affirmations for balancing one’s mind, body and soul and how to balance
a modern rushed life with a more holistic & spiritual way of living.
Taanya Nagi is certified in Transcendental Meditation by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s organisation, Maharishi
University, Noida, India.
My Vision
“Committed to helping people heal, reach their full potential and lead authentic empowered lives.”
Oh Spirit in me, come to fore,
As I grow stronger, more and more.
To display God’s love for one and all,
For all creatures, great and small.
As I follow what’s meant to be,
To help and heal humanity.
As I create, listen, and be led,
I await the love and joy ahead.

From the Doctors Hub interview
Why did you choose psychology as your career?
I chose psychology because I’ve always been fascinated by the intricacies of the human mind and
behaviour. Understanding the complexities of individuals and helping them navigate their challenges is
not only intellectually stimulating but also incredibly rewarding. I was also interested in the
mind–body connection, which led me to study holistic healing and other modalities such as Bach Flower
Remedies, Reiki, clinical hypnotherapy, NLP and IEMT.
What are the challenges of being a psychologist?
Balancing emotional involvement with professional detachment, and managing the emotional toll that
some cases can take, are common challenges.
What is the hardest part of being a psychologist?
The most challenging aspect is witnessing individuals struggle and not always being able to provide
immediate solutions. It requires patience and perseverance.
